Surcharge Assistant will allow the Authority to define “Override Rates” per Industry that are to be used in calculating a surcharge rate dollar amount.

When an override limit and rate is established for an Industry, the reason for the override as well as the date the override limit and rate was determined also need to be identified and stored in the software.  Examples of override reasons are:

1) selected based on industrial classification code

2) calculated from authority sampling

3) calculated from IU sampling
